OUR APPROACH
Our mobile van is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment allowing us to effectively handle your sharpening request on-site without delay. We invite you to take a tour of our mobile workshop to see our comprehensive line-up of sharpening tools.
Since there are many different types of edges – beveled, convex, semi-convex and more, we assess each edge to determine the very best way to restore your edge to its original glory. That means each job is handled in a carefully measured way and we NEVER subject your edge to overly aggressive conditions, which can ruin a blade. Our sharpening equipment includes: HIRA-TO Flat Hone Ideal for convex edge professional beauty salon shears Twice As Sharp Diamond Wheel Go-to tool for bevel edge scissors, resulting in the finest and sharpest edge possible while gently removing edge imperfections Variable Speed Flat Hone Often used for custom blade thinning and tip profiling. Liquid Cooled Variable Speed Belt Sander Best for restoring damaged edges, removing fatigued metal, re-profiling bevels, handle & bolster repairs, vertical edge truing, tip repairs, spine conditioning, and many other refurbishing actions where finer grits and slow speeds are required Traditional Sharpening Materials Including natural quarried Japanese whetstones, man-made Shapton Glass synthetic water stones, Arkansas oilstones, fine ceramic abrasive grits, diamond sprays, polishing compounds, leather strops and diamond hones.
